Run Free at #66 on the Album Charts in Japan

CathysWake Journey to the Far East: How Run Free Conquered the Japanese Album Charts

The journey of CathysWake is reaching dimensions that I could not have imagined even in my wildest dreams just a few months ago. Only a few days after the official release of my second studio album Run Free, the global metal community is proving once again that authentic musical emotions know no physical borders.

Today, a notification reached me via Songstats that leaves me genuinely speechless: we have officially broken into the Album Charts in Japan at #66.

Having Run Free chart directly in Japan feels like a massive personal milestone and an incredible honor. Hardly any country on this planet appreciates melodic, orchestral metal, epic guitar work, and intricate songwriting as deeply as the Japanese metal scene. Sitting here as an independent one-man producer in Bavaria, Germany, and seeing my own music purchased, streamed, and celebrated on the other side of the planet feels completely surreal.

A huge, heartfelt thank you, Arigatō gozaimasu, to every single listener, metalhead, and collector across Japan for this overwhelming support.

This achievement seamlessly follows a launch run that continues to blow my mind day after day. Right on release day, we scored a double #1 on iTunes in Slovakia across Rock Albums and Albums overall, climbed to #4 on Overall Albums across all genres, entered the Apple Music charts in Sweden, and crossed all the way over to South Africa. Simultaneously, the track where this entire journey started, Empire of Shadows, surpassed 75,000 streams on Spotify, while the entire CathysWake catalog officially broke through the milestone of 500,000 Total Streams worldwide.

You can experience the complete 12-track journey of Run Free right now on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, Tidal, Deezer, and Amazon Music. If you want the ultimate fidelity, grab the uncompressed studio master files directly via the A.B.M.-PRODUCTIONS Webstore as a WAV Studio Quality Download, or order your physical CD edition manufactured on demand via elasticStage.

Thank you for sharing this incredible dream with me. Turn the amplifiers all the way up, stay wild, and keep running free.
