10,000 Followers: A Milestone Built on Strategy, Not Just Ads
Share
We just hit a massive milestone: 10,000 followers for CathysWake on Facebook, almost exactly one month after the album release.
But let’s talk about how we got here, because it wasn’t a straight line.
Before the album dropped, I released "Empire of Shadows" as a single. To be honest: that wasn't the original plan. At that time, I didn't realize that an album needs to be uploaded as a single package, otherwise, every track counts as an individual release. Lesson learned for the next production!
When the single and the CathysWake page went live, I invested 15 € into Facebook ads to give the song a boost. The result? A reach of about 10,000 and a few clicks—basically nothing. It was a clear sign that throwing money at a platform doesn't guarantee success.
The real breakthrough happened the week before the album launch. I stopped the ads and started pushing the content myself—hard, consistent, and focused. That triggered the organic wave. We hit the 10k mark without spending another cent on advertising, just by riding the momentum of the release.
This proves that while mistakes happen and ads might fail, a solid content strategy and a loyal community are the real engines of growth. Thank you for being part of this 10k journey!
See you soon and take care of yourselves, greetings bruecki 🤘🤝🤘
