First of all, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. What started as a simple idea has grown into something I honestly never expected. Sure, I hoped for it, maybe even dreamed it could turn out great, dreaming is always allowed.
But within just six months, going from minimalist early prompting to closing in on half a million people reached across streaming channels, hitting the Apple Music and iTunes charts 20 times worldwide, and racking up 15 verified radio spins on Apple Music across stations in Northampton, Gloucester, Minneapolis, Hameln, and Salzburg?
Damn it, I even got to sell the very first physical CDs.
It is absolutely crazy to see that people didn't just stream the tracks, but actually brought the album into their living rooms. Total madness, and a massive thank you to each and every one of you!

A.B.M.-PRODUCTIONS is an innovative one-man media and music production company based in Bavaria, standing for creative diversity, cinematic soundscapes, and tailor-made content.
Nice to meet you: my name is Andy Brueckmann, 48 years old, and contrary to what my son claims, definitely not too old for Fortnite.

Starting with those exact gaming clips back in August 2025, the idea hit me: why not use Suno like many others to produce complete tracks?
Long story short: in late December, Empire of Shadows emerged from Suno in its current version. How many times I trashed it, re-prompted it, tweaked it? No clue. A hundred times, a thousand times... it felt endless. Yet it completely hooked me, and I kept pushing.

The Tsarina's Wake was built on the foundation of my own personal life over the past 15 years, mirrored from Empire of Shadows right down to Final Wake.
Naturally, it is wrapped in an epic dark fantasy dreamscape, but shaped directly by everything I lived through during that decade and a half.
That brings us to what truly matters to me: Storytelling.

25 Years of Media & Beats 📸
That storytelling foundation explains why I work the way I do. For over 25 years, I worked as a media designer and spent 15 years as a freelance photographer and regional reporter covering every kind of beat.
I remember Photoshop 1.0, I know the golden ratio inside out, and above all, I spent 15 years reporting on live shows, concerts, events, and regional festivals in text and photography.
My musical foundation is solid, also thanks to spinning tracks as a local club DJ around the turn of the millennium, throwing down legendary New Year's Eve parties.

From Schlager to West Coast Metal 🎧
Suno gives me the creative power to channel those ideas and stories into an epic medium: music. I learned the recorder back in 4th grade, but never got around to mastering a real instrument, even though my passion for all music genres runs deep.
From German Schlager like Peter Alexander, to ABBA, straight to Queen, and all the way to Dr. Dre, who managed to yank us Bavarian 80s-moped-riding, headbanging teenagers all the way to the US West Coast in the 90s. Heavy metal heroes like Manowar suddenly wondered why their die-hard crowd was vibing to Snoop Dogg.
Jokes aside: Metal is pure power, in all its shapes. The only classic giant I could never warm up to is Iron Maiden, don't ask me why, sorry about that!
The Evolution: Run Free 🐺
Fueled by all these influences, CathysWake took flight, dropping The Tsarina's Wake as our debut album in March. That first record lived in an entirely fictional realm without direct ties to current reality.
With our second album Run Free, however, I changed that. Still deeply immersed in the symphonic metal mystery, but carrying subtle nods to real-world currents and personal turning points.

Cathy’s journey marches forward. Musically evolved compared to the debut, yet crafted as a cohesive 12-track experience you can play from front to back without hitting skip.

Time for some straightforward opinions to close things out. Six months ago, I was still caught up in the typical creator mindset: "Yeah, but it's made with real human soul, it's so much more than just pushing a button, blah blah blah."
I said all of that myself. Not anymore.

Built with massive strategic planning: who she is, where she comes from, how she carries herself. Built with relentless prompting.
Let’s be brutally honest: you can guide an AI tool in a certain direction, but anyone claiming they control 100% of the outcome is kidding themselves based on my experience.
And to anyone claiming they make AI music purely for fun while flooding every streaming service with it: buddy, you're not doing it just for kicks, you're doing it because you want to be heard, build reach, and make this project a genuine success. Exactly like me.
If it were just a weekend hobby, nobody would spam the DSPs with hundreds of raw tracks.
Why Wacken Can Never Be Replaced ⚡
I view projects like this, projects built on rich lore and deep narrative, as an exciting extension of the wider music ecosystem.
Naturally, people argue that AI is destroying music, hurting artists, or replacing creators.
Sure. People tell that to a guy who worked as a media designer. Thanks, Canva! No hard feelings, that’s life and evolution.
Still, I don't believe for a second that 100 years from now, 80,000 screaming fans will gather in the mud at Wacken Open Air just to cheer at a floating hologram on stage. Live performance and organic sweat are things an AI creator can never replicate.
And at the end of the day, that raw human stage connection is what every live performer lives for.

Vinyl does not exist right now. Why? Because I come from a graphic design background and had to learn the hard way that high-grade heavy metal mastering only allows about 22 minutes per vinyl side. 48 minutes total is simply too long for a standard single LP. Of course, an experienced audio engineer could recut or compress it without blinking, but for someone running Suno and learning modern audio workflows on the fly, that is a huge hurdle I still need to master. Back to the debate of handmade craft versus generated output! You would think I learned my lesson for album number two? Nope, I expanded Run Free to a massive 50 minutes!
Vinyl will happen, somehow, someday.
